  Very good lunch spot. Excellent sandwiches, great menu. Large variety. Staff is very friendly. Actual restaurant is very cozy and has seating inside and out. Daily specials are on a chalk board at the door!!
  
  Personally had at least 4 sandwiches on the list. Very consistent, no bad experiences. Great size,  generous portions on meat and veggies inside the sandwich. Excellent quality of meats and cheeses.

  Bottom Line: The friendliest Deli in Carlsbad with tasty fare.
  
  Oh how I love a local deli!  Tucked away in a business park is Johnny's Rutherford Cafe.  There is lot to like about Johnny's including Johnny himself who is consistently warm and friendly.  One of my friends likes their vegetarian options while another craves their soups. For me, I really enjoy their wraps and sandwiches with a diet Coke fountain soda.
  
  Parking at Johnny's is easy and there are a decent amount of tables inside of Johnny's but I suspect a majority of their business is take-out.  I definitely recommend Johnny's over fighting the crowds at Bressi Ranch or the Palomar Commons (Lowe's shopping center).

  Best place to stop by if you are in the area! Best sandwich ever! My favorite is the n*47 KnuckleHead just delicious! Grab a bag of your favorite chips, ask the Johnny the owner to make you one of his best smoothie. The bomb is : Avocat, Kale, Spinach... banana I guess... just try it... so tasty and yummy! Johnny always make you feel you are at home. His family is all over the walls. Do not forget to try his cookies... You got it! Totally recommend this place. If you go, please say hi from the Frenchman!

  New job means new lunch places to try! Johnny's is literally almost across the street so I can easily call in an order, walk over and walk back.
  
  I was greeted with a compliment from Johnny himself so I'm all for that. ;)
  
  I ordered the hybrid sandwich and it was delicious. They have a million things to choose from so I had difficulty choosing but no regrets. However I'll probably create a checklist or just make sure I post photos of everything so I can keep track of what I've tried. Sandwich was a little pricey for a weekday lunch but I'll still go back.
  
  Compliments, good food and convenient to walk to.. can't complain.

  Solid choice for lunch in Carlsbad area. They offer an array of tasty sandwiches, wraps, and salads that are made to order. The Turkey Sicilian and Pollo Azul are my favorites!
  
  Also, I've taken advantage of the Eat24 delivery service on Yelp a couple of times and it always arrives well packaged and on time.
